It will do little if nothing to stimulate the economy. Plus I feel they should lower the highest bracket you can be in to receive this check, The bar is set way to high, and not low enough. the last time I heard about it. If you make under 6000 for the year, unless you have earned income, you do not get the check. And the highest being single filers in the 100,000 range? Correct me if im wrong, but does anyone here(single filer) make 100 G's a year who needs the rebate/refund whatever they want to call it? Of course the money will be taxed as income or whatever, didnt they do it that way when they handed people those 300 dollar checks? idk remember if they were tax free or not.

And do you actually think that thats gunna make the differance? Do you really think the president has that much power, or do people forget just how small of power he has? Do you really think the people who now say they will end the war, but keep funding it will shine when the time comes? I am less then hopeful that war funders like Obama, Clinton and Mccain will shine through. Once in office excuses will be made, that is why i urge everyone to pay attention to their local and state elections as thats where the change will be made

As much as I am un-impressed with this rebate, I do think it will stimulate the ecomony and I think they have data that proves that otherwise they probably wouldn't bother.
