Shoplifter Gets Away with Liquor at Jewel-Osco on South Arlington Heights Rd

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:40 p.m. Thursday to a report of a retail theft in progress at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road. Police received a report that a male subject was putting liquor in his backpack.

The offender was described as a male/white talking on the phone, wearing a gray jacket and a backpack with liquor placed inside the backpack.The subject was seen standing in the Farm Stand aisle for awhile, but then he left the store before police arrived. Jewel security followed the subject outside, and the subject was observed leaving in a black sedan.

Arlington Heights police are investigating.
