For some quick suggestions of books I know are available try these:

The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
A woman returns home to Salem Mass to find out what happened to her Aunt. She has the skill of reading lace passed down to her from her ancestors of Salem Mass.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society by Mary Ann Shaffer
WWII fictional story of the German occupation of the isle of Guernsey and how the people coped.

Also Janet Evanovich's latest is available as is Jennifer Weiner's Then Came You

And if you want to feel good about your parenting skills, you can always check out the memoir The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

For more personalized suggestions that would match what you like to read, check out the library's Book Me! service. Fill out the form and we will send suggested titles through your email.
